"I'm not the one that's being questioned right now, Emily," I say. "I want to know the real reason as to why you let Gabriella out of that room. Did you honestly do it so that she could get some time out of that room? I'm sure you must have known how dangerous an act like that would be. You've been around my family long enough to know what happens when someone tries to escape. So why don't you tell me the truth? What was your motive in all of this?"
She looks surprised that I'm questioning her; I usually don't ever do it, but something isn't right about this. She has never given me a reason to doubt her until presently.
"Emily is not completely at fault. I was the one that stole the access key from one of the guards and carried her out of the room." A third voice says behind us
