Confronting His Father

1346 Words
Tristan's POV I allowed Eric to rest. I went up to Cris's bedroom earlier to check up on him, he was fast asleep. But now I'm just sitting in the lounge thinking about this situation. I want to beat that bastard up to a pulp so that he can feel how it is to be beaten up. Anger rose up within me, and I was not going to leave this the way it is. "I think I should head home," I snapped out of my thoughts. Eric came into view. "Um... I think that you should stay here," I said as I shifted in the recliner. "You know what will happen when you go back." "I cannot be here because he will look for me. I don't even have a phone because he broke it the last time I was MIA." he let out a heavy sigh. "Don't worry about it. You will have me." I stood up and then walked past him. "Where are you going?" he asked as I opened the front door. I stopped to turn around. He was confused. "I'm going to your house," I said. "You can stay here, or you can go with me," I gave him a choice. He sighed and then walked past me, out the door. I followed after him, closing the door behind me. I was still wearing my Armani suit. I was just too attached to this situation. "Please, don't do anything that will make things worse for me," I said as we walked in step down the sidewalk. "The thing is...he will pay attention to me and I will not let this go easily. I can report him easily. You have a story and have experienced loss and things that not many people know about. He needs to pay for what he has done," I responded. We got to his house and it just made me cringe with the way it looked. His father doesn't even hire someone to take care of this property. It says a lot about the person that he is. There was a silver car parked in the driveway and I knew that the time had come to put a stop to this sh^t once and for all. I followed him inside the house. "Why the hell are you here? You're supposed to be in school. I work my ass off to put you in that school," I heard his father loud and clear as I slowly walked towards the kitchen where Eric disappeared. I did admire the house inside. The marbled tiles were shiny, and this is way better than my own house. Grey and white throughout the house with stairs going up. I reached the kitchen, which had sliding doors with a view of the pool and the backyard, which was just as cringy as the front garden. When I walked into the kitchen, Eric was standing across from his father, the kitchen counter in between them. His father, Mr Parker, was gray haired, and he was fuming. "I would suggest that you shut your mouth. Eric doesn't need a parent like you. He is a good young man," I said. His father looked at me. "Who the hell are you and why are you in my house?" he barked at me. "Did you go and get him for me?" he looked back at Eric. "I am here because your son will no longer live here until you change by some miracle. I know everything about you. You are not fit to be a father, and you think it's okay to just beat him up with whatever he does? That is not how a father loves his son. I'm surprised that you are not charged for anything, let alone for what happened to your wife." I hissed. My heart was racing in my chest because I was fuming with this disgusting man. He pointed a finger at me, "You need to leave. I will call the police for trespassing on my property," he warned. All I see in him is plain evil. "Really? How about the evidence of your son that you are laying a hand on? I'm sure that you wouldn't want that to ruin your reputation and I will not stop there. He will live with me from now on. He doesn't deserve this life." "My whole life revolved around him, he was a mistake, a useless one. I never wanted him, he had already ruined all my plans that I wanted with his mother. I lost her because she was so stubborn to listen to me, she didn't carry out what I wanted and that was for her to get rid of him." he said, as if he was disgusted with Eric. "That ruined me, and you can stand there all you want, but at some point there is something that will ruin you." "That's enough. I will no longer listen to this bullsh^t." I looked at Eric, "Pack your things, you're going to live with me," I demanded. Eric looked at me with huge eyes. "Go!" he hurried out of the kitchen. "You have another thing coming," Mr Parker said to me. "Bring everything you want against me, but this stops here. You are no longer laying a hand on him. If you wanted to get rid of him so badly, then why not just let him leave with me? If there is an ounce of feeling towards him that you still have in you, you will let him go, but most of that space is filled with resentment and anger. Heal if you really want him. You are getting older, so think about that," I said. He shook his head as he turned around and took a glass that was standing close to the sink, and he poured Whiskey. "All I have ever done in my life was love his mother, but she ruined that by falling pregnant." "That is why any form of contraception is important, but not all of them are one hundred percent effective. Accidents happen, and not everything can be blamed on the woman. That's just my opinion." I shrugged as I waited for Eric. Mr Parker took a sip of the Whiskey. "I hope you have fun with Eric while it lasts. He can be stubborn and he doesn't listen. At least that is not my problem any longer," he placed his glass on the counter with a thud and then Eric appeared. "I'm ready," he said, carrying two duffel bags. "Great," I acknowledged as I took one from him and then I walked out. I heard Eric's footsteps after me, "Don't bother coming back!" Mr Parker called out from the kitchen. Eric will not step foot in this house again until that bastard wants to change in the future. Eric has his goals and that is what I will help him with. He wants to be a photographer and I have the perfect thing in mind for him. I will be the fatherly role in his life now and with that comes the part of wanting the best for him. I want to see him succeed in life and I will gladly help him with that. I can have a word with Austin Luca from the Dakota Agency for another photographer, which Eric can be able to keep an eye on Elona when I am not able to, or he can work at SNT, where Cris will be. His options are endless, and I have no doubt that he will be great. I do hope that he chooses the right one. If he chose to work with Elona then that would be great. That's what I want more, but the ultimate decision is up to him. I will first allow him to settle in at my place before having that talk. After all, his father is the one paying for everything, so I might have to be the one to step in financially for him now. I will do it out of the greatness of my heart.
