I ran out of the bathroom and fumbled around the blankets on my bed, looking for where I had tossed my phone. I opened a message to Tyler when I found it and furiously began typing:
Why did you leave a hickey on me?? Everyone will be able to see it!
Tyler’s reply came instantly, like he had been waiting for me to see and text about it:
