Hailey’s POV
Mom also came rushing over. She put an arm around my shoulder and led me out of the ballroom. The door slammed shut behind us, and thankfully we were the only ones in the hallway.
“I can’t believe your dress just fell apart like that! You’d think something so expensive would hold up better!” Mom said as she guided me down the hall. Then she started leading me up the stairs towards my room.
I didn’t respond. I was still replaying the scene in my head, trying to contain the mixture of rage and confusion I was feeling. I knew the who, but not really the how or why. Although I could make a pretty good guess on the latter.
