Kai exhaled slowly, pinching the bridge of his nose as Tay leaned against the table, watching him with that ever-present smirk. The glow of the strategic map flickered between them, illuminating the tension in the room. For a moment, the two men locked eyes, their silent battle of wits as familiar as the war raging outside their doors. "You know," Tay mused, crossing his arms, "for someone who just threw the entire Supernatural Council into panic just now, you look surprisingly calm. Almost like you enjoy it." Kai shot him a sharp look. "Oh yes, because nothing pleases me more than watching centuries-old alliances fracture before my eyes. I live for it." Tay chuckled, clearly unfazed. "Sarcasm suits you, dear father-in-law. But we both knew this was necessary. They needed to be shaken."
