Felicity
After getting a full belly, Maddie gave me a quick, impromptu tour of the main floor, then she led me to one of the guest rooms. She exchanged a quick farewell with me at the door, then I was left to enter the room alone.
To my delight, the first thing I saw was a huge bed covered by a thick green comforter, and it was calling my name. As if in a trance, my feet moved on their own, taking me straight to that inviting bed.
Mere seconds was all the time that passed before I was crawling under the blanket and snuggling up to the pillows. Compared to the cave floor, it felt like I was lying on a fluffy cloud, allowing me to fall asleep in no time.
