Grace It had been hours since everybody left. The quiet was nice until it wasn’t quiet any longer. The little ones cried as soon as everybody left, then they must have napped for a good chunk of the day. When they awakened, I could hear them cooing in the other room, and that was cool. The sounds they made then were cute. But those cute sounds soon turned into annoying sounds. If it had been my own pups making those sounds, it probably wouldn’t have bothered me so much, but I would never have my own pups. There wasn’t time for that. I was dying.
