When I awakened after being marked, Serena was the first one of my mates to come into focus. I was happy to see her, but it wasn’t long before I noticed Jace’s scent, making me immediately yearn to see his face.
Closing my eyes, I used my enhanced sense of smell to tune into which direction his scent was coming from and turned my head, then I opened my eyes a second time. To my delight, his gorgeous face was right there, and he was smiling at me with nothing but love in his brown eyes.
