Nathan I ran into Grace’s room right behind Zoey, but I was in a hurry to check on my sister. To my delight, she was just fine and actually smiling. A true, genuine smile. Not a forced, fake one. Delighting me even more was the fact that my mates’ cub was responsible for my sister’s happiness. I had no clue exactly what Xeraphina did to make my sister so happy, but I was grateful nonetheless. As Grace hugged Xeraphina, she looked up at Zoey and asked, “Can I hold her a little longer?” “Of course,” Zoey answered, smiling down at my sister and the pups in the bunker. The same bunker I had dug out and created. We were still standing in the same spot when I heard Savannah in the hallway. “Move! Get out of the way! I need to get to my baby!” she growled, not hiding her irritation.
