Several times while Dane and I were celebrating being alive and with each other, Teagan and the others tried to get us to go downstairs and join the party. However, we both needed that quality time together, and neither of us had any desire to leave Dane's bedroom.
Almost losing Dane and hearing the Moon Goddess' warning started to put things in perspective for me. I knew I had fallen in love with Dane, and I didn't want to lose him.
He was being completely understanding about me wanting to wait for us to mark each other, and I appreciated that more than he could possibly imagine. I just needed a little more time to make sure Dane wasn't gonna turn into some awful person like Darren did after Bethany joined his pack.
