SELENE’S POV
I couldn’t believe that Alexis was actually here and I also couldn’t believe that I had killed Adonis just like that. Not that I didn’t want him dead but I just couldn’t believe how easy it had been to kill him, not to mention that Alexis being here was a bonus.
At first when I heard him speak and when I heard him come into my room I thought I was dreaming. I thought I was hallucinating because he was whining so bright like a star, and his wings were just majestic and huge. My mother had often told me that there used to be palace protectors back in the day but she had never really dwelt on them that much and now I realized that was probably because she knew that Alexis was also one of them.
