ALEXIS’S POV
I had been pacing around the palace since morning, Selene had been spending more and more time in her throne room and I assumed that was all to avoid me. I knew that I was ruining a happy time for her but I was just so unfulfilled and I didn’t know what to do to fill the void that I was feeling in my heart.
When I left Bianca, I was convinced I was doing the right thing but now I was no longer so sure about that decision. Being here made me feel like a huge failure even though my family had been acquitted of whatever stupid crime that my father had committed I still felt like I was being punished for it.
