Chapter Fifty Six – Safe House
Kyla and Izzy spent the hours in the black SUV car in silence, neither one of them wanting to talk, both lost in their own thoughts and fears. As she looked at her watch Kyla noted it was 01:59 in the morning, in just one minute Kermit would be heading out to hunt number 17, fear started to consume her once more as she prayed for his safe return. As the clock changed to 02:00 Kyla stiffened a small tear fell down her face, as Izzy looked at her.
“This is it” Izzy whispered
Kyla consumed with dread only nodded her response, unable to find words such was the sate of her fractured mind.
