Abigail shook her head, trying not to smile. “You’re impossible.” “I know,” Kai said with that same infuriating, disarming grin. “But I’m also serious.” Her smile faltered. Slowly, her arms folded across her chest as she leaned back in her seat, a layer of caution returning to her tone. “You can’t just say things like that.
