Abigail stirred in her sleep as a faint frown knitted her brows. Something heavy was pinning her down, squeezing the air out of her lungs. She squirmed, but the more she moved, the tighter it became.
Her lashes fluttered open. Heat radiated against her skin, far too warm to be a blanket. She reached down to push it away but fshe immediately froze. Her hand had brushed against something solid, smooth, and unmistakably human.
