After leaving the northern border, we flew as fast as we could east in hopes that we could reach the king in time. I wasn’t too worried about him, or my father for that matter. What I was worried about was who the traitors were and if Kayla was safe. I knew she was a good fighter and very powerful, but if she was outnumbered and caught off guard, who knows what would happen?
I quickly shook my head, in an attempt to push that thought away. “If you’re worried about Lani you should go find her,” Makoa called over his shoulder.
“I am, but like I said, I have faith in your brother and my sister, plus I know how powerful Lani is, she won’t go down without a fight.”
