Sitting in the waiting room waiting for news of Bella’s condition felt like murder for me and Axel. Neither of us could sit still or even concentrate on a single thought that didn’t involve Bella.
Our Beta’s Felix and Mateo showed up as soon as they possibly could and met us in the waiting room.
“Where’s her father?” Axel asked.
“He’s in the dungeon.” Felix said.
“Your father has a lot of questions. You never told him about Bella?” Mateo asked.
“We only found Bella yesterday. It was too soon to tell him about it.” I said.
There’s a lot that’s happened with Bella that we weren’t going to go and tell our father about. Even if he is the Alpha. We didn’t care.
Right now, we were more focused on whether she was going to survive or not.
