“I don't understand, for years they've been attacking our pack. Sometimes days in a row and they just… stopped?” I said, laying on Damien's chest, tucked in comfortably but sleep far from me.
“I want to believe that we finally got the last of them, but it can't be that easy” he said, confirming my suspicions.
We hadn't had an attack in two weeks, and yes, it's been a very welcome relief, but it kept me on edge.
“What if it actually is over? Wouldn't it be a relief to not hold a funeral every other day?” Sapphira said, even though I knew she was worried as well.
