“What just happened?” I opened my eyes and found myself back in the forest. Rosie was still fighting Isaac. He injured some of her people. Two of them looked dead. The sudden cold reminded me I was naked. Without knowing, I shifted back to my human body. Rei or more Maat was standing in front of me. Her fur lost its glow, and I knew something went terribly wrong.
“Maat,” I addressed her. Just when I was about to call her again, some invisible power pushed me away from her and the blast of sharp light blinded me. ‘Thoth. What is going on?’ I was anxious.
