I felt ashamed and humiliated as Jaxon looked down at me longingly, unable to do much but stare up at him drowsily, my body refusing to respond to even my most basic of commands. He touched my hair, fingering its silken strands while Gerald avoided looking at either of us altogether, typing away on his computer and ignoring the obvious.
