For three days now school has been cancelled but we weren’t allowed to go back home. Ms Clara held a meeting in the dining area which was small to fit all one hundred girls but we squeezed in to listen to the news.
She had explained to us how she found Marcus, the students whom she found lifeless in her classroom. Many of the girls at this point were scared and just wanted to go home but for some unfathomable reason they want to keep us within school grounds for monitoring.
Ms Clara also mentioned a little about the investigation going on and that Mr. Brown was extremely close to finding the culprit. The sooner he finds him the sooner our lives go back to normal.
It has now been two days since I last saw Antonio, we weren’t allowed to leave the dormitory which made it impossible since the boys weren’t really allowed into our dormitory same as we weren't allowed in theirs.
Two days seemed like forever especially with the amount of questions and doubts roaming about in my head.
Amanda had secret meetings with Stewart, they were conducting their own investigations on the lead. The investigation meant no training so I was mostly alone in the room dying of boredom. I switched off the lights hoping to sleep it away and face it hopefully for the last time tomorrow.
Tap
I heard something on my window. It was too soft to confirm if it was actually anything to pay attention to so I ignored it and snuggled more into my blankets the weather was terribly cold tonight.
Tap,
Tap,
Tap,
This time the tapping was louder and I couldn’t ignore it, I got off my bed and wearily looked out the window. I saw nothing, I thought to open the window and look down but feared what if something jumps at me, my brain started working overtime thinking its probably now my turn and the killer is now after me.
With my heart in my mouth I quickly shut the small space I had begun to open and pulled the curtains closing them.
A few more taps were heard but I didn’t dare look. I hid under my blanket praying for it to go away.
I heard a loud noise like someone hit themselves on a wall. The tapping became louder and more desperate. At this point my mind has decided that I am doomed forgetting that I am a trained witch and a freaken vampire who has killed before -only a couple of deers but my potential killer didn’t need to know that- no I did not remember my training instead went to hide under my blankets.
I fished for my phone but then I realised that I had left it on the charger near Amanda's bed. I freaked out cursing myself for not keeping it with me, this is exactly why we were allowed to keep it in the first place. I knew that I had to go fetch it and call for help I really didn’t want to but I had to get help.
I peaked through my blankets listening carefully when I heard no sound and saw no one I pushed myself out of the blanket and ran straight to Amanda's bedside to get my phone.
Then it hit me I had walked past not realizing it in my frantic moment, I looked up and saw the curtains were pulled apart and the window was open. I knew very well that I had closed them.
My stomach dropped at the realization of the second presence in my room. I slowly grabbed Amanda's bedside lamp listening to the man's footsteps coming closer, he touched my arm and quickly turned and smashed the ceramic peace on top of the guys head and ran to switch on the lights.
“Oh my goodness,” I screamed out when I saw it was Antonio. He was bent over the desk touching his head to see for any damage. “Well I’ve never been welcomed like that before.” He stood up smirking at me his blue eyes sparkling. Luckily there was no harm done to him unlike the bedside lamp I’d have to repay.
“What are you doing here? You don’t just creep out on a girl like that what’s wrong with you, I could've killed you. How did you even get in here? Oh my Lord Ms Clara will kill me” I passed around my mind still trying to find itself again. He scared me out of my senses and now my heart was racing for a completely different reason.
He held my arms and pulled me to stop in front of him. “You couldn’t have killed me.” He smile making me calm down instantly. “Especially judging from the way you were shaking underneath your blanket" he whispered in my ear. I pushed him away but I couldn’t help joining him in the laughter. I had been really scared one can't blame me for that.
He pulled me back and hugged me. “How did you get in here I had locked the window.” I said into his chest. “No window can stop me from getting to you.” He let go of me a little his fingers now playing with my hair pushing some out of face, “besides it’s not the first time.”
“What?” I stepped back from him. He looked at me confused then realised what he said. “No I meant it’s not the first time opening a closed window. Or going through a window I didn’t mean that I go through windows,” he slowly pulled me back holding me tightly trying to explain himself to me. I tried to not laugh at his nervousness. “I’ll take the fact that you are laughing as a sign for me to stop talking,”
I looked up at him smiling. We weren’t anything official but good God this man made me happy. “With every life time you are more beautiful.” He caressed my face.
Before I could ask him what he meant he pulled away and went to the window. “It will not be a high jump from here, we can go without being noticed," he turned to me. “You can come dressed as you are but just take a coat with you its extra cold tonight.”
He takes my hand after grabbing my coat and takes me to the window. “An-Antonio what are we doing.” I screeched when he lifted one of his legs out of the window. “I still owe you a date remember.” he winked at me then jumped all the way down. He stood aside waiting for me. “Jump I’ll catch you.” He called out softly but enough for me to hear. He was not serious, he could not be serious. “It's only a one floor jump come on. I promise I’ll catch you.”
“Antonio are you crazy I cannot jump!” I whisper yelled. I was afraid of heights I didn’t care that is was only one floor, heights is heights and I was not going to risk any part of my body for this. He visibly signed and stood thinking for a minute.
Without warning Antonio jumped back up onto my window. He steadied himself by holding onto the wall and windowpane then he did the unthinkable, “Forgive me for this meu amor” he took my arm and pushed me down the window. I closed my eyes screaming waiting to hit the hard ground but it didn’t come.
“Shhh stop screaming someone will hear you." Antonio said to me pulling me closer into his arms. He had caught me just like he said. I pushed myself away from him but not calculating properly and found myself on the ground.
“You pushed me out a window!!!” I accusingly yelled at him.
“And I caught you didn’t I.” he laughs offering his hand. I swat it away and get up on my own. “Come on let’s go before you get us caught.” He ran forward I pulled on my coat then ran after him.
It looked like we were running towards the garden area. We passed it though and carried on straight going on more closer to a waterfall. We stopped at the edge of it on a side away from the water near the trees and vines. "We have a waterfall?" I did not know that we had one but I'd never been further than the garden areas.
"Yes but this isn't our last stop." he looked up at me and smiled mischievously I knew I wasn't going to like what he was going to say next.
"Our date is happening down there." He pointed by some rocks beneath the waterfall I saw there was a cottage close to it. I started to back away saying no over and over again.
Antonio came closer to me he pulled me closer to him holding me extremely tight. I hadn't noticed the vine in his hand before he threw us down swinging like Tarzan.
