Selene's POV
Mia was already in my room when I got back, sitting on the edge of my bed with her knees tucked under her chin.
"Any ideas?" she asked.
I kicked off my shoes and sat beside her. The house was quiet downstairs. Derek and Vera had gone out an hour ago for some errand Claudia arranged.
"We need proof," I said. "Something concrete. Derek and Vera together, somewhere they shouldn't be. He and Vera have been going out almost every day for 'wedding planning。"
Mia chewed her lip. "That's our chance right? If they're going to slip up, it'd be then."
"Maybe. But they would be very careful where I was if they decided to cheat behind me. I'm afraid I couldn't - "
