VERITY A MONTH LATER (Part Two) I stared at the bundle in my arms, and love burst through. I gave birth to my son, Brody. I stayed in the hospital for a few days to ensure I was okay. The birth was horrendous, but I would do it all again to have Brody in my arms. Brody holds my finger as I lean back against my pillow. “Can I hold him?” Sandy asked, which made me look up at her and smile. “Sure,” I said as she took him from me. I had Peggy and Sandy with me while I was delivering. It sounded like a soccer match in the room as everyone shouted for me to push.
