After my parents leave, my emotions are all over the place and they are very conflicting. Happiness and excitement for my future reign over the rest of the emotions, but the sense of sadness and mourning is still lingering.
Chicago was going to be my home for a long time and had been for four years. Everything that was planned for my future revolved around Chicago and the thought of starting over somewhere new scares me. Although, Green Waters isn't exactly somewhere new.
Spending most of the day in the sun is ideal but instead, the work calls to me. Writing an email draft to my bosses takes a few hours but I can't get my fingers to send it yet. When the thought of sending becomes too much, I shut my laptop and leave my new office.
