The following day, William’s chief of PR team called him before he even left his place, together with his precious Simone.
“Good morning, Mr Stone,” he greeted tersely. “Sorry to call you so early, but I felt like I should warn you against the reporters waiting for you outside your building.”
“What happened?” Came William’s calm answer.
Multiple scenarios went through his head in the few seconds he waited for the man’s answer.
“Two pictures of you with a woman made it to the headlines of yesterday’s tabloids,” he deadpanned, without beating around the bush.
“I see,” he retorted. “I hope you’re on it already?”
“Naturally,” was the man’s answer.
