That night, Simone’s sleep was the most peaceful it had been in a while. Not only was she sleeping in the arms of the man she loved – which was a blessing in itself for sure – but it also felt as if she was worry-free at long last. Old Mrs Atkins had breathed a sigh of relief when she learned that the stalker wasn’t her nephew. Simone could understand the sentiment all too well.
