The meeting was held at 9 am. As per usual, William barely spoke. He always listened, asked relevant and concise questions, and then barked out orders. That was his MO. And even though that much was the same, Simone could feel that he wasn’t pleased, for some reason beyond her.
“Mr Turner,” he soon let out icily, “Kindly stop making my PA uncomfortable.”
Simone wasn’t uncomfortable, even though she could feel that Lucas Turner stared at her more than what was probably necessary… But she wouldn’t object in such a setting.
