Valen's p.o.v

My alarm rings and I groan. I get up to turn it off. It feels like I just fell asleep, well we did. Cat and I stayed up, talking for hours. Then she played with my beard until I fell asleep. I get dressed quickly. I turn around and Cat is staring at me. "Catalina, sorry for waking you up." I tell her and she shakes her head. "No, sorry for keeping you up all night. I'm a horrible friend." she says, and at this moment I wish she was not my friend, but so much more. I shake my head. I get on the bed and look at her, like really look at her. I bring my hand up and cup her face. She is so beautiful, just like this. Just woken up, no makeup, sleepy, tired face. She is always so loud, happy, talkative and friendly. She is so small, reminds me of a pixie. She is short, petite and all of her positive, fun energy that I sometimes wish I had, especially so early in the morning. "Sorry that I made you stay the night and cuddle with me, but thank you. I really needed someone last night and you were just there, standing there, looking so perfect. So tall, like a giant teddy bear, so cuddly and you are so sweet and nice." she tells me. "Geez, don't let my pack members hear you." I tell her, cause I do not know what else to say. No-one has ever praised me or seen me this way. People think I am mean or grumpy. "Oh, I am sure they know it. You just radiate all of the goodness in the world." she says, and this girl is making it hard not to like her like her. "My pack members think I am mean and grunpy." I say and she laughs. "I can't see it. I mean, maybe the grumpy," she says laughing. "Well, I will continue being the grumpy Alpha and you will continue being yourself, you are like a cute little pixie, always happy and that's who I want to see." I tell her. Her face drops, but she nods. "I have to go to this meeting, but I will see you later? I will ask Madeline to come get my sister," I tell her. "No, I will keep her." she says, but I shake my head. "You need to rest. We will see you later. Go back to sleep, pixie." I tell her and give her a hug and a kiss. I can't help it. I get up and off the bed before I get back in with her and miss this meeting. She lies back down and I look away. Did I say that she is the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes on? Because she is.

I walk into Alpha Liam's office. All of the other Alpha's and their high-ranked men are all here. I catch a glimpse of the idi0t who cheated on my pixie and I wish I could go up to him and thank him. Because of that, I am getting to know the most amazing woman. I notice him sniff the air and he turns and glares at me. "Dude, you reek of Cat", Christoph tells me, and I look down at myself and smirk. Alpha Liam and his son walk in and both of them stare me down. Sh!t. Luckily, no-one says anything and the meeting begins. Hours later, after going through everything from rogues to trading and as small as housing and jobs in our packs, we take a break for lunch. "Alpha Valen, can you stay behind? I'd like a word with you." Alpha Lian tells me. Everyone else leaves and we are left alone. "I am not one to beat around the bush. Now, I can't really get involved in my daughter's affairs. She is already 18, and she can do whatever she wants, but I would like to know why you smell like her." she asks me. "It's not what you think, Alpha" I say. "You are a good man, Valen and I know. These past few days, I have been impressed by you, but Catalina is my babygirl, my princess. I honestly don't know what is going to happen with her and her mate, but I don't want to see her get hurt, more hurt. I am sure you have heard what her mate did, everyone knows and it hurts me to know that this happened and now my daughter has to watch her mate build a family with someone else and she has people talking about her when what happened has nothing to do with her. I don't know what your situation is, but when your mate comes along, I wouldn't want Cat to get hurt all over again." he tells me. I decide to just stop him now. He doesn't even have to waste any more words. "Alpha, no-one but Cat knows this, but my mate died in my arms moments after I met her in a battle. I really like your daughter, probably more than I even should. We just met and I already feel closer to her than I have anyone else. It has been hard for me to open up to anyone, but things are easy with Cat. I know this is probably more of a human tradition, but with your permission, I would like to get to know her more. I know she is leaving for the Academy, but I want us to still keep in touch and see where things go." I tell him. He smiles, "Well, it's all up to Cat, but you have my approval. Whatever she wants and makes her happy. I would actually like you to stay here for a couple more days. I want to extend an alliance between our packs." he tells me. "Yeah, I would like that." I say. "We can speak details and see what benefits both packs once everyone else leaves." he says, and we shake hands and walk out to have lunch with everyone else.

I notice that through lunch, Alpha Liam keeps me nearby. He is introducing me to everyone and people are offering alliances and want me to go to their packs, some even offer me to meet their daughters to see if we are mates. How awkward. The whole time this jacka$$ is glaring at me. "Who is this guy? what is his rank? Why is he here?" I mind link Zeus. "His name is Joel, his dad is the head warrior who takes care of the Alpha's family when they are out. Joel is going to take over the position. He went to the Academy and was one of the best warriors there. Mate Catalina Di Marco, but got Griffith Star Dumfy pregnant while they were both at the Academy. I guess that is why he is here. He will probably get his father's title passed to him soon." He tells me everything like if he is reading it, but I guess he memorized it when he looked him up. "Hmmm" I say, not impressed at all. We all sit for lunch. The Lunas who attended with their mates join along with Luna Rose. Cat looks so much like her mom. Lunch is over and some people head to their rooms to rest, but some of us stick around to have a drink. I should go lie down for a bit and check on Aurora, but I got dragged into this conversation. All of a sudden, I see Cat coming and she looks upset. Like she is crying. I nearly jump out of my skin and rush over to her. "Pixie, what's wrong?" I ask her. She just wraps her arms around me.

"Cat, what's wrong?" her brother, dad and mother come over. I see her ex-mate coming closer too and I want to take her away so he won't speak to her. "I woke up and realized that Valentina is gone. It finally sunk in that she's not here anymore. We shouldn't have let her go with that man." she says. Her mom rubs her back gently. "Aww Cat, it's alright. Valentina was so happy when she left." she tells her and my pixie nods her head. "I guess" she says. "Kitty Cat, can I talk to you in private?" her ex-mate asks. She looks at him and sighs "yes" she says and I think everyone is shocked. She looks at me and gives me a small smile before she walks away with him. I rub my face, not liking this at all. This should be my clue not to get close to her. She has a connection with him. She could go back to him at any moment.

Catalina's p.o.v

I am so upset, but when Joel asks to speak to me, I decide to get closure on my part. I haven't really allowed him to speak to me and I want this to end on a good note. I don't want things to be weird when I return. I just want to end it all, right here, right now. I step to the side so we don't go far. I want everyone to hear us and in case I need to get away I just have to walk two steps. "Kitty Cat, what happened yesterday..um, things got out of hand. I love you and only you. I didn't mean what I said. Griffy is crazy." he tells me and I roll my eyes. Joel doesn't love anyone, but himself. "Jojo, what the f*ck. I lie and say I am sleeping in to see what you do and this wh0re comes looking for you to suck you back to her!" Griffy yells. Joel and I stare at each other and I raise an eyebrow. I really want to see what he is going to do. "Griffy, stop, apologize to my mate." he says, finally standing up. I am surprised. "Jojo, what! ahhh" she says and grabs her stomach and bends over like she is in pain. "Our pup feels this Joel. He feels your rejection. You prefer her over us." she begins crying. There is an audience now. I can almost see the smoke coming out of dad's ears. I don't want anyone else in our business. Last night I said I wouldn't allot them to humiliate me, but I realize it is all her. If it were up to Joel, she would not be problematic and I would accept him even with what he did and we could co-parent and make it work, but things don't always go the way we want. We have to face the consequences of our actions. "Joel, we will never work. I refuse to deal with this. It's not fair for me." I mind-link him. I feel his eyes on me and he puts his head down and nods. "Maybe once the baby is born, she will change. Just give me a couple more months" he mind-links back and I sigh. I don't bother saying anything back. I am leaving and when I return our bond will be broken. All I know is this was his last chance and this proved why it won't work out between us. I am happy with the choice I made. At least I know I have no regrets. I deserve to find someone who I come first for and no-one will change my mind about it. I have to put myself first if not, no-one else will. I know my worth. "Pixie, come, I want to talk to you." Valen says and I notice Joel glare at him, but he is also trying to comfort Griffy.

Luna Rose's p.o.v

"Luna, I am so sorry. This is so embarrassing. We have no idea why Joel brought her here." Samarah, Joel's mother tells me. "It's alright. We are allowing them to figure it out on their own. We shouldn't get involved." I tell her and pat her hands. I am radiating calmness, but I am fuming inside. I am so angry. How dare Joel bring this woman here and how dare they disrespect my daughter this way. We are not unfair leaders and Cataline did ask us not tog et involved and we are trying to grant all of her wishes, but dear goddess I wish I cold kick them all out of our pack. The good thing is that I don't think everyone here knows that Cat and Joel are mates, but the way this woman calls my daughter a wh0re, I can only assume what people think. I am sure Samarah has the same idea, that is why she is saying this. I notice the stares of everyone, and I really want to let everyone know the truth. "Oh, wow that is horrible, poor Catalina," I hear a Luna say. "Oh, no, my niece doesn't care. She rejected him the moment he brought that sk@nk home. Cat is strong and needs someone strong like her as a mate. This all happened for a reason." I hear my sister Lily telling her. "I know all about these shanks, always throwing themselves at my mate and all of the higher ranks" the Luna says, and I notice all of the other Lunas nodding and agreeing with them. "Thanks sister." I mind link her. I feel bad for Samarah, having to hear this, but I had to hear people talking bad about my daughter so she can suck it up the same way I did. "Hey, I won't let people think any less of my niece. She did nothing wrong." she mind links me. So much has been going on and I am a big mess. From this Cat mate drama, to Valentina also finding her mate and leaving with him, to the Wilder Pack wanting Nico to go over. Alpha Cody got hurt and is in a coma. We have no idea how, but his wolf is not healing him and we think witches might have been involved, to Liam and his parents going back and forth with King Carter about the situation with the kingdom. I feel like I am losing all 3 of my kids and I just feel like crap. Liam comes up to me and hugs me. "Mate, I need your help for a moment" he says and pulls me away to our room. "I am so angry and I need you to calm me down", he says. I begin taking my clothes off. My poor mate is so stressed and I know he needs to release some of the burden he carries with him every day. His eyes sweep over my body. "You are so s3xy my beautiful mate," he says. I help him undress and push him back on the bed and climb on top of him. I position myself on top of him and slide down his c0ck.

Alpha Liam's p.o.v

I stand here in the meeting with all of the Alphas, going over everything, but all I can think about is my mate's naked body. With everything going on, all I want is a break. We have been in my office all day and only took a break for lunch and now for dinner and then everyone is leaving. I am actually glad Valen is staying. Him and Cat look good together. I love how up front he was about their relationship and how he was there for her when the drama with Joel and that woman happened. He took her away and he came back to the meeting grinning and when I mind linked Cat, she said she was fine and sparing with Casey. At least I can relax in that department. I know my Catalina will be alright. My girl is very strong.
