It was the third day, and I saw the carriage of the Queen of Cassiana and Croasia coming in. Lin and I exchanged a look. Hera suggested a funny and cruel plot to scare Croasia by using rats which I declined. Croasia went to the palace looking for Magnus, and I got in her way, not letting her see the crown princess.
As Croasia approached me, she flashed me a smile that made my skin crawl. "Good morning, Cassiopeia," she said, her voice dripping with insincerity. "Have you seen Magnus?"
I crossed my arms, blocking her path. "He's not available at the moment, Croasia," I said firmly.
Croasia leaned in closer, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh, that's a shame," she said, running her hand down my arm in a gesture that made me feel uneasy. "I was hoping to spend some time with him today."
