The ride to the consulate was nerve wracking because I knew I was about to learn why Bella did what she did, and I didn't know if I was ready for that yet. I didn't know if I trust myself around her, or if I was prepared for what I would find out. A part of me wanted to keep living in delusion and assuming that she'd been coerced or forced to do this, but I needed to come face to face with the truth too. That she may not have been forced. Nor coerced. That she may have deliberately wanted to get rid of me. Of the baby I had no idea existed. We arrived at the building to find members of the consulate already waiting.
