The boat continued to sail into the nighttime skyline, a romantic view of Maldives beautiful sea and surroundings. Hector and I were both quiet as we stared at the beautiful view, without exchanging any words.
Hector has completely rendered me speechless with his unexpected surprise. It was so overwhelming all at once, because I’m so happy and it scares the crap out of me. I am scared that my happiness might not last, yet I just want to in the moment.
I glanced at my new diamond heart shape ring, Hector had just given me. He didn’t propose to me before our wedding because it was an arranged marriage then, but now that he had finally proposed does it change anything? I hope so.
I felt Hector’s fingers softly rubbing tears away from my face. God, I hadn’t even realized I was crying.
