HECTOR I stood by the office window and watched as Rubi ran out of the house, into the heavy rain. She ran so fast, as if someone was chasing her. It only proved to me how bad she wanted to get as far away from me as possible. She had stopped at one point and turned around, directing her gaze at the exact window I was watching her from.
