Vinoth opened his eyes into narrow slits and the first thing his eyes met with was Vetri who had coiled his arms and legs around Anu's frame like a baby koala. Vikram was at the door, coaxing him to come to him. He was holding a plate of meal for Vetri but he straight away refused and turned away to hide his face in Anu's hair.
"He needs his mother more than anything.." Anu was once again arguing with Vikram.
"No, he doesn't. All he needs is some food in his system.." Vetri's fever was subsiding gradually but still there and it worried Vikram so much. And on top of it, he hadn't eaten anything for a very long time.
"Please, just think about Anjali once. She's his mother and she must be missing him a lot.."
"If she so much misses him, why isn't she here yet?" Vikram queried maddenin
