I lunged at Yvonne with the last of my strength. Pure adrenaline overriding pain and exhaustion and rational thought.
And I bit her. Hard. Sinking my teeth into her shoulder area with all the force I could muster.
Yvonne screamed and tried to push my head away. Her hands grabbed at my hair, my face, trying to dislodge me.
But I wasn't letting go.
Jackson and the police officers immediately tried to stop me. Hands grabbed at my shoulders, my arms, trying to pull me back.
But I stuck my teeth deeper into Yvonne's shoulder, not willing to let go despite all the forces pulling at me. Clamping down harder. Making sure this hurt. Making sure she felt a fraction of what she'd put me through.
