Nathaniel and I couldn't stop laughing about what had happened as the doctor resumed stitching me up again.
"Did you see her face?" Nathaniel kept saying, chuckling. "When she realized how much hair you'd pulled out? She looked like she was going to have a complete meltdown."
"I can't believe you just stood there and let me keep pulling," I said, wincing slightly as the needle went through my scalp but still grinning. "You literally held her wrists so she couldn't fight back while I yanked out half her hair."
"She deserved it," Nathaniel said with zero remorse. "She attacked you. In a hospital. While you were injured. I just... leveled the playing field."
