“Congratulations dear, the place looks perfect,” Mom said after she hugged me.
“Thank you and thanks to my best friend who helped me. Look at her now, I could just cry.” Tears ran down my cheeks as I looked at Helene and Michael.
I wiped away the tears that blurred my vision, feeling an overwhelming wave of emotion.
Helene, my best friend, was now a mother to two beautiful babies, and the sight of her with Michael, both of them so tender and attentive, made my heart swell with pride and love.
I could hardly believe how much had changed in the past six months. The journey to this moment had been full of twists and turns, but here we were, surrounded by love and the warmth of family.
