“Come on, let’s go,” Helene urged, her voice filled with excitement. I nodded and followed her into the forest. Even though it was daytime, the dense canopy above made it feel darker than I expected.
The sunlight barely pierced through the thick trees, casting shadows on the forest floor. The air was cool, and the earthy scent of the trees surrounded us, grounding me at the moment.
