“Kai!” Zaiden called out and walked to the corner.
Hearing his call, Kai stepped toward him. Pouting her lips Emma kept on gazing at them trying to decide whether to go to them or not.
Soon after Kai approached him, he instructed, “Pay him and prepare to hire another bodyguard.”
Scratching the back of his head in confusion, Kai mumbled, “What?”
“I know you heard it.” Zaiden pinched the bridge of his nose. “Don’t make me repeat it!” his words were cold and solemn.
“But… but why? Did something happen?” Kai grew curious. “Just a while ago you were praising him and telling me to add a bonus to his salary. And now you are telling me to find another bodyguard for you? What about him?”
Tucking his hands nonchalantly in his pockets, he replied, “I fired him.”
“You what?” Kai’s eyes widen
