~ HUNTER’s POV ~
“One more time, from the top!” Maia snapped her fingers bossily and I rolled my eyes at her.
After the fiasco at that party, Maia and I were on a new mission. We only had a few days left before I was supposed to leave and we had one more thing left to do in the bucket list, losing our virginities. Maia had a plan and for some reason, the plan involved dancing. She said dancing would be the thing that would ensure our success. She was adamant on making me a better dancer, so I had been spending the past two days locked up in her parents’ piano room trying to be the next Magic Mike.
“Remind me why we’re doing this again?” I protested and stopped to catch my breath. My breathing was labored, and my arms and feet were killing me.
“Girls love guys who can dance, Hunter,” she stated simply.
“I have exactly four days before I have to leave Paris, I don’t think that’s enough time to turn me into Channing Tatum,”
“Not with that attitude you won’t,” she said as she danced circles around me, “follow my lead,”
I took her waist with my two hands and followed each sways and movements with my body. Her body had this magnetic reaction to music. Every little move she made was done with purpose. Nothing was ever wasted.
“Why do we have to go to a dance club anyway?” I breathed, “Why can’t we just go to a normal club? Or a strip mall or something and pick up someone there?”
“Do I look like the kind of girl that would pick up a guy at a strip mall?” she scowled, looking offended.
“Besides, dancing is the way to go. It’s like the gateway drug to s*x,” she said this as her body cascaded down on me sensually.
I gulped aloud when her butt grazed my groin.
“Focus,” she snapped her fingers again.
That’s easy for you to say, you’re not the one going home with blue balls every night.

After spending a few more days dancing with Maia, Saturday night finally arrived, and it was my last night in Paris. It was time to finally check off the last thing on our bucket list. The last, but certainly not the least.
It was an exciting night for the both of us. We got all dressed up and Maia took me to this fancy rooftop club in the heart of town. We got in without being asked for IDs, which was crazy to me, but trivial for Maia.
“A dance club?” I asked her as we walked deeper into the sea of people. “This is your bright idea?”
“What’s wrong with a dance club?” she asked. “It’s a great place to show off your moves and there are plenty of cute fuckable people around,”
Looking around the place, I had to admit that she was right. Everyone here was gorgeous and they were in the mood to get their bodies moving.
“Anyway, friend of mine owns this place, so get whatever you want,” She said as she linked her slender arm around mine and gestured towards the bar. She then ordered two glasses of champagne and the bartender immediately complied, again, no IDs.
Leaning against the bar, I noticed an older guy standing a few feet away from us and he was checking Maia out. Maia looked gorgeous, as always. She was wearing a tight silver dress, and the V-neck was showing too much cleavage for my liking. Maia wasn’t getting uncomfortable by all the attention she was getting, but I was. I shot a deadly glare over to that old guy as I pulled Maia closer into my arms, covering her fully with my body.
“What are you doing?” she said under her breath.
“Nothing,” I muttered quickly, still giving that guy a ‘f**k-off’ glare.
I was absolutely c**k-blocking her. It was absolutely territorial of me, and it worked. The guy left and I let out a relieved sigh.
“I don’t know about this place, Maia. I have a bad feeling about this,” I said to her ears as I held onto her tight.
“What do you mean? It’s great out here, no?” she asked as she pulled away.
“I… I think it’s gonna rain,” I mumbled a lame excuse.
I wanted to get her out of here. Away from other old weird guys’ perverted stares.
“Nonsense, I checked the weather today. 0% chance of rain—” she paused for a second before saying, “Hunter, pretty girl in the blue dress, 10 o’clock!”
Her head nodded to the direction of a dancing group of girls around our age.
“Go for it,” she nudged my elbow.
I didn’t wanna go, but Maia wouldn’t stop egging me on. I took a deep breath and sighed as I lazily walked over to the group of girls. I stopped right behind the girl in the blue dress and I tapped her shoulders. She turned around and looked up at me. Maia was right, she was pretty.
“Hello there,” I said.
She c****d her head to the side as she eyed me from head to toe.
“Well, hello yourself,” she said in a sexy, sultry French accent.
“Ok. Good bye,” I bowed my head quickly and turned around.
Maia’s smile dropped to the ground when she saw me walking back to her.
“What happened?” she asked.
“She… had lazy eyes,” I shrugged.
“Yeah, when you see her up close, not a pretty sight…”
I was rambling some horrible lie when this guy in a suit, probably in his early twenties, stepped into our periphery.
“Excusez-moi,” he said to Maia. His head came right in between us.
“Voulez-vous danser?”
I took it he was asking her to dance because he gave out his hand and his eyes gestured for the dance floor. Maia smiled brightly as she took his hand in hers.
“…No!” I yelled and grabbed her other hand just as she was leaving.
“Hunter? What the hell?” she hissed.
“I… saw he slipped something into your drink,” the words just slip right out of my mouth, “Don’t go with him,”
Maia looked appalled and briskly pulled her hand away. She shouted something that sounded like curse words in French, and then she grabbed my hand and we walked away.
“Guys these days are horrible,” she groaned as we made it to an empty corner.
“Yeah, but the important thing is you’re okay…”
From the corner of the club, we could see out into the open and I spotted at least three other guys checking Maia out at the same time. My fists instinctively curled into a ball and my arms reached across Maia. I pulled her into a hug, while she just stared at me in confusion.
“You’re being weirdly affectionate. How much champagne did you have?” she giggled.
I wasn’t moving for a while. I wished I could just hold her like that for the rest of the night.
“Hunter?” she asked, looking confused, “Are you okay?”
“Uh, not really. I’m not feeling it here,” I said as I awkwardly shuffled back.
“Yeah, I know what you mean,” she sighed, “We've been here for half an hour and not one guy has hit on me yet. Well, except that weirdo with the date-r**e drug,”
“Ha-ha, yeah,” I laughed nervously.
“Maybe I should just go dance and see if someone cute will join me,” Maia said as she flipped her hair back.
If she made it to the dance floor, that would be the end.
“…Or I can dance with you?” I offered.
“Nuh-uh, people will think we’re together,” she said with a playful shove.
That’s the point.
“You can dance near me, but not with me,” she then turned to her heels, sashaying her gorgeous over body to the dance floor.
Reluctantly, I followed after her. We slipped through the rows of people dancing and I made sure I was always an arm’s length away from her at all time. When she found a spot she liked, she stopped walking and started dancing.
I stayed mostly behind her back, so she wouldn’t know I was still so close. And when a guy tried to come near, I shot him my now famous ‘f**k-off’ glare. It happened several more times and I was getting tired, this could not go on forever.
As if God had heard my prayers, suddenly I heard what seemed to be the sound of thunder rolling under the loud music. I turned my face to the sky and felt little drops of water landing on my skin.
Within seconds, heavy rain poured down like waterfall and people were scattering like mice in all directions. I was still in the same spot when Maia came and grabbed me.
“Hunter! It’s raining!” she cried, looking absolutely irritated.
By the time we made it to a place with a covering over our heads, we were already soaking wet. Maia was shivering in cold, so I took off my jacket and wrapped her little body in it.
“T..thank y..you,” she whimpered.
She was still shaking so hard, so I pulled her into a hug. She let out a sigh as her head rested snugly on my chest. My hands were clasped together behind her back as I looked up to the sky, praying to God and thanking him.

“Ugh, tonight was total failure. I can’t believe not even one guy asked me to dance!” Maia said as she threw a large white towel at me.
We ended up going back to her place since we were drenched in rainwater. The rain had not stopped, it had gotten even worse.
I took off my wet shirt and let it fall on the floor of the room. I figured her maid would deal with that tomorrow. Using the towel she gave me, I cleaned all the excess water from my body.
Meanwhile, Maia was already in a bathrobe. She was lying flat on her stomach on the bed. Her legs were sprawled open and I had to keep reminding myself not to stare. But when I tried to peek a little, I found that she had been looking at me this whole time.
Was she checking me out?
When our eyes met, she quickly looked away.
“Well, I did told you it was gonna rain,” I said to her.
I thought about unbuckling my belt and getting out of my wet pants, but then that would leave me only in my underwear. So I decided to just endure the stinging cold in my lower half and I took a seat on the edge of her bed, not wanting to let it get too wet.
“This is bad, Hunter! This is your last night here and we still can’t find you a girl,” her body jerked up as she said it.
“Meh,” I shrugged, “we gave it a shot,”
“We suck! We’re going to be sad lame virgins for the rest of our lives!” she threw herself back, put a pillow over her face, and made whining noises into it.
I stifled a laugh at her antics. Pulling the pillow away, I said to her “No we won’t,”
“What did you just say?” she looked up at me suddenly.
“I said we’re not gonna be virgins for the rest of our lives. You’re just being dramatic,” I replied.
And then I saw the wildest glint of spark in her eyes.
“Oh my god, Hunter!” she gasped as her body shot up.
“Yeah?”
“Oh my god, oh my god!” she was practically cheering and clapping her hands.
“What, what?”
“That’s it, Hunter!” she exclaimed. “Why didn’t I think of this sooner?”
“What?”
“Darling, it’s the answer to all our problems!” she was grinning from ear to ear, but I still didn't know what she was talking about.
“Maia, you need to tell what it is that you’re saying, ‘cause I can’t read—“
“Hunter, we should just have s*x with each other!”
