I sighed in defeat as I followed Luna Celeste and Alpha Markus. I was beginning to see just how protective of Gonzalo everyone was. I had already tried to find a moment alone with him multiple times today and there was always someone in the way. f**k, if they only understood all I wanted to do was love him.
The fact that he had such a support system warmed my heart, even if it annoyed me to no end. He was clearly loved here. A small part of me wished I could have had that when I had lost him. Alpha Markus introduced me to his guards, then excused themselves and I took a moment to walk down the river bank for a bit. I needed to decide on what I would do.
