Chapter 4

"What do you think about the one in the white brother ?"Kade asked with lust filled eyes .

My eyes grazed past the tall blond  for less than a second , not the least bit interested .

In fact nothing in the god damn room caught my attention but the f*****g little pixie .

"What's wrong with you ?" He demanded . "You've never given up an opportunity to get laid when there are so many gorgeous she wolves in front of you ."

What's wrong with me?

I didn't f*****g know!

Something wasn't right , I've never once heard of a werewolf having a mate outside his species .Which only left one option , the damn vixen had put some sort of spell on me .

Just my f*****g luck .

FAY'S POV:

I felt his eyes on me , every direction I turned I could feel the heated stare following my every move . It burned into my skin , my body on fire from just those eyes on me.

It had me on edge and stirred unwanted feelings deep in my belly .

Ever since our first encounter near the north river I couldn't get the wolf out of my mind , couldn't comprehend what was happening .

Every Mytheland folk is taught from small to never ever mate with someone out of your own species .It's the one rule of the land that must never be broken as it threatened the existence of our people .

The rule was made by the most powerful witch to have ever walked the land , her name was Theodora White .Her exact words were memorized by every species , written on bold in every kingdom , engraved on some trees , hung up in homes ,tattooed on some arms ...Everyone lived by those words .

In fact ,the words were printed in black on the wall of the ballroom right above my head. As if to remind me of the gravity of the situation and just how serious this matter was .

I read it now , feeling my throat tighten with each word.

People of Mytheland , my visions which have never failed me till this day have brought something worth bringing to your attention . You must ALWAYS mate within your own species , for if there were ever a couple that mates outside of their species our world would face serious consequences .Their offsprings would bring destruction upon our land , as they would be stronger than any of us combined .They would bring imbalance to our precious world ,allowing humans access to our land, to our homes , to our people . So my dear people, remember to NEVER mate outside of your species , this is a rule that MUST NEVER BE BROKEN.

The humans that the witch had spoken off , no one knew the meaning of the term , no one had ever met one of these humans before but the people of my land had come to fear them as the vision saw them as our destruction .

It wasn't something for the people of the land to be worried about however as no one was ever reported to have gotten a mate outside of their species , so it was generally easy for the rule to be followed .

That is ...Until now .

Until me .

For the dangerous Alpha Cayden was most definitely my mate .

I was the first of my land to have ever gotten a mate out of my species .

"Fay."The sudden call woke me from my deep thoughts .

I looked up at my aunt who was smiling down at me , when did she ever possess a smile while speaking to me ? Never.

Something was definitely up , something that I wasn't about to like .

What could it be ? Tending to my cousins again ? No, this time seemed different , she was literally beaming with joy .

"I have someone I would like you to meet."She continued .

My eyes narrowed suspiciously , where did my aunt ever introduce me to anyone ? She usually hid me from important guests , saying that I was more of a servant than part of the family .

"Who is it?"

She motioned to someone behind her .

I watched as the tall young man with ash blond hair made his way over to me . I knew instantly , that this man was a dark fairy .They gave off an aura that was unmistakable.

He took my hands roughly in his , without my permission . "It's a pleasure to finally meet you Princess ."

Princess ?

No one had called me that in a long while , no one saw me as a princess anymore , not after the incident with my parents .

"You are?"I asked snatching my hands back from out of his grip .

"Prince Ash of the Dark Fairies ."He introduced himself with a crooked grin .

This introduction seemed more weird by the minute , why would a Prince be seeking my attention and why did my Aunt seem so invested in it?

"Well I'll just leave you to have some alone time ."My aunt said . "You two get to know each other better now."

I watched my aunt leave ,my eyes burning a hole into her back , how I despised that woman who made my life a living hell . It was like she discovered happiness by disrupting my life and it was becoming rather sickening .

"So what's your deal ?"

He quirked his dark eyebrows at me . "My deal?"

"Yeah." I answered in a dry tone . "No one likes to be around me so what's your excuse ? What's your hidden agenda ? I know my aunt , she doesn't introduce someone to me unless she knows that person is going to disrupt my life in the worst way possible ."

He gave me a blank look . "I just came to ask you for a dance , if you call that disrupting your life in the worst way possible then yes I would like to disrupt your life in the worst way possible ."

I studied the prince in front of me suspiciously , he didn't seem like he had a hidden agenda so I finally sighed , what harm could one dance cause ?

CAYDEN'S POV :

I stiffened , my blood boiling at the scene in front of me . 

What the f**k ?

"Who is that fairy with the ash blond hair ?" I demanded .

"You know brother , you have taken a lot of interest in fairies tonight ."

"Kade."I gritted out , my anger already on the verge of collapsing .

He raised his hands in surrender  "Alright alright .But do you know any of the fairy royalties at all ?"

When I gave him a death glare he finally answered . "That's Prince Ash Black. Prince of the dark fairies , his father is the famous Kapral Black .Surely you have at least heard of him ."

I stiffened at the name.

Kapral Black .

Unfortunately I had not only  heard of the sorry excuse for a king  , the man was the replicate of the devil himself . I've had many countless encounters with that f*****g asshole and it never turned out good , war almost broke out between our kingdoms each f*****g time . He was a big pain in my ass .

All thoughts suddenly flew out of my head as I saw the f*****g fairy put his hands around Fay and pulled her close for a dance .

A deafening menacing growl escaped my mouth , shaking the entire hall , the entire arena growing quiet as shocked frightened gazes turned in my direction .
