The following week, the town mayor and his vice paid us a visit. We received a call about it two days prior but I couldn't get over it until it was over. I wore a white formal above-the-knee dress and curled my hair tips. I did my own light make-up like how I did it back in school or if I had to attend an urgent formal meeting with my parents. It wasn't an elegant look which was not needed, honestly. But I grew up looking presentable to important meetings.  Aside from the lady mayor and vice mayor, seven other people came with their company. Three ladies and four gentlemen.
