"You broke up with Dayshawn?!" Dad angrily snapped while I was coming down the stairs. A part of me anticipated his approach but I wasn't prepared for how it would be going about. It had been two weeks since they witnessed the event involving me and Dayshawn. They were there when the crowd celebrated. They were not there when I took back my answer to Dayshawn. They did not ask me anything about it, either. They simply believed Dayshawn and I had been officially together since then.
The maids scurried out of the dining hall as my mom signaled them. She then motioned for me to move on my seat. There was no option. Although I had eaten my dinner before them, I still needed to join them at the table.
