Things were boring, to say the least, without Carter around. I guess you could say I got used to his company over the past few months. My baby is growing nicely, and according to my pregnancy app, my baby is relatively the size of a bell pepper or a banana. Which I find kind of odd, but oh well.
It had been five days since Carter and I last spoke, and I was really missing our daily conversations. He didn’t know this, but I knew he had been sleeping in his car every night for the past couple of weeks, watching my apartment. At first, I found it creepy, but I soon realized that he was doing it to make sure Alex and my family didn’t show up out of nowhere. Although I didn’t tell anyone where I lived, I wouldn’t put it past Alexander to use his resources to find me.
