Daphne was taken aback.
After thinking for some seconds, she nodded, looking at him with a smile. “Sure. It’s easier that way.” she said, holding her phone and opened it to her contacts.
Christopher smiled and stood up as well, he was about to open his phone that he took from his pocket when it opened, revealing Lucas’ name on it. Oh crap. I forgot about going home.
“Where are you? You got lost again?” Lucas asked through the other line. “What an adventurer.” Denver added mockingly. “Yeah right.” Johann seconded.
“Shut it Els.” he complained in a softer voice than how he usually does. “I just went into a convenience store to buy snacks while on my way back.” he casually reasoned. “I just worked out yesterday so it’s no big deal.”
