Selene:
“What are you doing here?" I snap, my voice cutting through the tension like ice. "The last time we saw each other, you made it crystal clear that you wanted nothing to do with me. So what the hell are you doing here now?"
I cross my arms, my words cold and sharp, though they barely cover the hurt threatening to claw its way out. "Have you come to make my life even more miserable than you already have? I don’t want to see you. Leave my hospital. Now."
I force myself to stay composed, but his presence makes it impossible. My hands clench into fists at my sides. The frustration and hurt bubbling just below the surface, is so much threatening to spill over.
He shifts his weight, and I see his gaze soften as if that’s supposed to mean something to me. But I know better.
