Raymond’s POV:
I lean over her desk making an attempt to chat with her. I’ve been trying to make a move on Maximus’ secretary for months now, but there’s been no progress.
Either she’s not interested, or she’s too oblivious to notice how I feel.
If Maximus were to see me now, I’m sure he wouldn’t be happy. He always says I’m distracting her from her work, but a little harmless flirting isn’t going to hurt anyone. Besides, I’m bored.
He’s not even around. I have no idea where he went, all I know is that he ordered a bouquet of flowers and left in a hurry. Something tells me they’re for his ex-wife.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Maximus buy flowers for Jess, at least not recently. The last time he did that was years ago.
