Brendan followed the line of my gaze and he was quick to stand up and stop Silas from taking another step towards me. There was what looked like a verbal argument between both of them but eventually, Silas walked away and Brendan walked in to me again .
"What did he want now ?" I asked Brendan and he shrugged his shoulders .
"I thought you were on his team and was always asking me to talk to him ," I asked Brendan as I took another bite of the chicken .
"But I also promised you that I would protect you at all costs ," Brendan said and that actually brought a chill down my spine.
"Do you mean Silas is dangerous? Why would I need protection from him ?" I asked Brendan again and he realised what he just said and shook his head.
