As soon as she comes close to the group of men standing around, she hears Gareth warn her slightly not to come too close.
“What’s going on?”
“It seems Alpha Phillip wasn’t completely truthful before. He has been injured.”
“What?!” She pushes past the men encircling the old Alpha, only to find him lying on the floor with blood pouring from his leg.
“Gareth! Get the medics here right away!”
“Shouldn’t we take him to the infirmary?”
“No, I don’t trust him enough to bring him onto the pack grounds yet.” She frowns, then goes to the guardhouse to shift.
