Roze woke up the next morning numb.
Warren had killed her father. And in some aspects, she was angry he had done so without talking to her about it. She hadn't gotten to ask him about her mother, about why he had left her, why he hadn't been strong enough to provide for her.
But on the other hand, she wasn't sure she wanted to listen to Bruce's lies. He had followed her home for the sole purpose of deceiving her and getting a payout. And she wasn't sure if the plan would have been successful or not.
